Abbs graduated from RMIT’s Bachelor of Interior Design (Honours) in December 2022. During their studies, Abbs was drawn to creating designs in their physical form through model making, mould casting, 3D printing, sewing and assembling.
From 2023 to 2026, Abbs has been in the graphic design industry where they have designed and prepared client branding signage for manufacturing. These skills have taught them the importance of brand image, directional interiors and collaboration with contractors.
Now returning to interior design, Abbs is devoted to designing spaces that support local communities and bring people together through sustainable, playful and grounded architecture.
Abbs’ mediums of choice for their design processes include Revit, paper and digital collage, sample flatlays and material experimentation.
Additionally, Abbs enjoys planning and hosting community events such as clothing swaps, and teaching creative craft classes through Laneway Learning.
